To all of them who never achieved the happy end, for all of them who paved the bottom with their young bodies and sent their souls to an eternal patrol I am dedicating this work.
My start of serious naval artifacts collecting was in 2011, when I acquired rare Puma naval Kriegsmarine dagger. Suddenly, a research of the piece (pictured on the photo on the left, amongst which represented my entire collection at a time) opened the entirely new views for me, and I started to realize that there is the whole beautiful world of historical artifacts on the worldwide collector's market, numerous groups of enthusiasts and great collectors ready to share their vast knowledge with me, novice with sometimes stupid questions. Patience of the great people to support me in my learning curve gave me the necessary momentum to start to study the history I was always admiring, but the first really important step wasn't acquiring that special piece for my collection. No, it was the moment when I was able to help a younger collector on Wehrmacht Award Forum with an advice, which gave me the confidence to continue with reading, learning and investigating the artifacts of the past.
Over time, I have collected a dedicated collection of unique items mostly connected to naval forces which were sailing in Adriatic theater of war from the mid 19th century until the end of WW2, with some pieces outside that time window.
My main focus is, and will always be, on submarine forces, their technical development and personal stories about the people who were ready to dive to the unknown depths of the sea and fight with the enormous powers of water column above while constantly being attacked by depth charges and looking to the gauges and praying for the air reserves to last a seconds longer then the persistence of the destroyer captain on the enemy destroyer.
I had the unique opportunity to exchange letters with a Kriegsmarine U-boat officer, which opened yet another window in the historical importance of the times behind us. All about this, but also about all orher bits and pieces from my collections you'll find in a COLLECTION part of the page.
